Review summary

We created memories of a lifetime that we will remember forever. It truly was magical! My 7 1/2 year old granddaughter was in awe of everything! This was precious, precious time for us!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Have cruised 22 times on almost every cruise line. First time Disney cruiser, and this was the easiest check-in we've ever experienced!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Beautiful ship! Food was not nearly as good as other cruise lines though.

Onboard Activities

We did not visit any of the adult areas. This trip was all about our granddaughter and we spent every minute with her. I wish she had experienced the Kid's Club but she preferred to be with us. If you are taking a young girl...DO NOT miss out on the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique experience. I took our 7-1/2 year old granddaughter 3 times to be dressed as a princess for the day/evening. It was her most favorite part of the cruise. Also, there's a very exclusive tea - The Royal Court Royal Tea. WOW! A little pricey but worth every single penny! The two of us attended together and it was nothing short of spectacular! Pirates Night was really fun. The fireworks show was better than anything I've ever experienced. Needless to say this was not as restful has my prior cruise because we had something to do every minute of every day. But that's what we wanted so that was just fine!

Entertainment

The shows are truly Broadway quality. Don't miss them!

Children's Programs

My granddaughter chosee not to participate in the kid's programs.

Ship tip

Book your activities online the MINUTE check-in is available for you. Wake up early in the morning to do this. Everything books quick. I stressed about certain things not being available to us; however, as soon as we got on the ship I was able to secure most of our desired reservations. But again, do that AS SOON as you get on the ship. For me this included: Changing my dining time from late to early (late is just TOO late for little ones). Getting tickets for the Princess Gathering. And being added to the waitlist and ultimately being able to attend the Royal Court Royal Tea - which was a major highlight of our trip! (Pricey - but worth it! Do it!)

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

Arrived ship by Disney Express straight from Orlando. Did not visit Port Canaveral. Next time..

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)

3 out of 5
We did not do an excursion. The beach and roped off water area was too crowded for my liking. But my granddaughter enjoyed.

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

Stayed on the ship to allow my granddaughter to enjoy the pool and other areas with less crowds. We have visitied Nassau many times on other cruises, so we weren't missing anything. Except the great shopping there!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
As with embarkation, this was the easiest disembarkation EVER! And we are veteran cruisers! Disney has this part DOWN!
