Review summary

This was a great short trip. I was just on this ship 6 weeks ago and that one was good too. But that one did leave me with a few minor gripes. They were nearly all resolved on this one. Embarkation is still kind of a mess. They open the embarkation window at 10:30 so virtually the whole ship arrives at the same time and it overwhelms the terminal. They have special areas for elite and platinum guests but it’s all so crowded that it blends so there is no boarding advantage to having status. After that mess though, the rest of the cruise was great. Our mini suite cabin and attendant, Edgar, were great. Dining was good in the main dining room, buffet and specialty restaurants. Crown Grill was amazing. Last time we had challenges getting drinks in the buffet but this time it was never a problem. They also put a self service soda machine near the wake view bar and this was really handy. It reduced lines at the bars for people that just wanted a soda. I also noticed drinks we ordered on the app came much faster. We never waited more than ten minutes for a drink ordered on the app. Usually it was about five minutes. The stage show Rock Opera was good as usual and Tommy McPhee was excellent singing in Crooners. The app is a little buggy but worked well enough and the WiFi was decent speed. The ship was clean and everyone was really friendly. Disembarkation was super easy. I just have no real complaints. Good job Princess.

Glad to hear there were improvements in the drink process. We love the medallion to order drinks instead of waiting for a server to place the order. Thanks for the review and glad it was a great cruise for you!

Thanks for the review and glad your issues were mostly solved. I would point out that the cluster during embarkation was only before the security check which is operated by the port, not Princess. After the metal detector, it was smooth sailing and on the ship minutes later. At least that’s how it’s been on my cruises from there.
