This was a great itinerary with good balance of sea days with port days. It’s our first cruise since COVID. Our experience was different than cruising preCOVID and was still an excellent experience! Cruise lines are experience the same challenges with labor shortages as land based service companies. Princess did a nice job adjusting for this and not decreasing the overall experience.
Embarkation

We were excited to board and go there at the time we were assigned. We were docked at the smaller pier in SD so this caused delays in boarding. Signage could have been better so passengers knew where to go and what to do. Once more porters arrived, the lines moved a bit quicker. It took us an hour from drop off to stepping on the boat.

We loved the Sanctuary, aft pool and bar, and the spa.

We loved all the entertainment. There was something for all age groups. We planned our evenings “entertainment hopping” so we could experience it all.

We did not have children on board with us.

The experience was wonderful! We enjoyed each and everyday. Cruising is a bit different since COVID, yet it was all wonderful. For example, no towel animals or chocolates on pillow and service was a bit slower though still very attentive.

The cabin was excellent! Roberto was our Steward and he did excellent. The only drawback one may see to this room is the door leading to the outside pool is near the room. Everyone it was used there was a loud slam. This didn’t happen at night, just during the day. Since we weren’t in the room much during the day, it didn’t bother us.
