Love the Crystal Serenity! It doesn’t get any finer! The dining is outstanding, service impeccable, and the Christmas decor is a 10+.
However, there were eighty children onboard for this holiday cruise. For the most part, were well supervised by their parents, but unfortunately there were some children who made poor behavioral choices. As a grade school educator, it was difficult not saying something to parents who let their three and four year olds run up and down the grand staircase. Staff were not allowed to say anything even though this was a safety issue. And it was sad to see young adults/teens put their feet up on the couches and coffee tables.

Food and Dining

All restaurants were superb but we fell in love with the food at Umi Uma (Nobu).
Onboard Activities

Crystal’s Lectures at Sea are very academic yet very enjoyable. Dance classes had partners for those who did not travel with spouses.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The Broadway-type productions were excellent as well as comedians and solo shows.

We were not sailing with children, however, Santa Claus did arrive!

Top of the line! Perfection! Our room number was actually 11032. Love the location!
Ship tip
It is worth spending the extra money to splurge on a suite.
Love Maui! Yes, I did “The Best of Maui” excursion which was quite nice except I was squashed in a small van with twelve passengers for six hours. Crystal gave us a small rebate because of this.
Another island I love. My husband and I had tickets for the USS Arizona. Because of the rain, the Navy did not operate the viewing boat to the Memorial. Disappointed.
Loved this port. Our helicopter excursion was cancelled because of the weather so we spent the day in town. We actually walked the two miles from the port but took the Crystal bus back to the dock.
We arrived too late to enjoy this port plus it was raining. The shuttle to take into town dropped us off on the “wrong side of the tracks”. It was in a small commercial zone filled with vendors and beggars. On the way back to the shuttle, because sunset was early, we wandered aimlessly trying to find the shuttle. Not a good experience.
