Great cruise as long as you realize it's 16 nights and the age average is around 65 so activities and entertainment seemed to be set up mostly around this age group.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
A little confusion when the groups that were ahead of us hadn't left there areas to board so no group seating area or nobody routing where to go until earlier numbers sent to board. Otherwise would have given a 5.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Had reservations for Dinning rooms and specialty restraunts all went great. Buffet to us seemed. boring and repetitive. Seating in the area where a Buffet open was a nightmare most of the time
as due to only one full Buffet of 3 being open in the area and waited to long to open the other 2 in the area. Also 1 Buffet set up seemed to have fewer options when open.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Pools were cold. Utilized the hot tubs which were well maintained most of the time. Preferred the one in aft area as it was larger and more privately located.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Only did a couple stage shows and they were ok. We preferred seeing the shows in other areas of the ship.
Children's Programs
No children with us.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Steward was awesome!!! We enjoyed great service a assistance from most all the staff we encountered. Thank you to the team!!
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Old ship so some aging shows yet ship seemed maintained. Aft elevator took you to floors you could get across ship without going back up but once you figured that out it was fairly easy.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was as expected in size. A lot of closet space. Clean and an awesome room steward.
Ship tip
Aft elevator doesn't go to all floors and some floors you cannot advance across the length of ship.
Went to Pearl Harbor and Palace here with a third party tour as well. Our guide was Ama who is a local so we hot a lot of history about the area. We also did a Luau in Honolulu which was not what we expected but just ok.
We rented a Dune buggy here along with some snorkel gear. Just drove the coast and snorkeled in a couple of places. A place called 2 step was one area. Locals would point out good area to snorkel. Loved it!
We did a Horseback riding on beach with LA Bufadora flee market and blowhole visit with a massage to end the day!! A great way to end our last stop of the cruise.
There is only 2 sides to buffet, one on each side of ship. Both are open during busy times and then one shuts down to set up for next meal. The lowest decks don't all they way through due to the dining rooms at aft of ship, otherwise all go from front to back unobstructed. I've been on the Crown twice and had a great time on both. I enjoy skywalkers lounge at back of ship for views and music.
