A wonderful relaxing escape. I loved it and can’t wait to go on another cruise.

Food and Dining

We mostly ate in the buffet but also made sure to try out the MDR, Salty Dog, Slice, Gastropub, and Cafe. Food was good but not quite what I expected. We were unable to get into the Crabshack which was open for one night and only 2 hours. There was always fish available but other than that not a whole lot of seafood.
My biggest complaint is we had the soda package. Every time I wanted a soda one of the servers had to leave the dinning room and go to the bar to get it. This was exceptionally difficult in the buffet area. Poor things must have dreaded seeing me.
Onboard Activities

The pools were great though we didn’t go in them, there was a wonderful spa, arts and crafts, bingo, trivia, and a casino. We mostly relaxed and were able to find quite places to do that.
One of the things we did was collect charms by going to some of the shopping talks. I was extremely disappointed by these. The shopping concierge was only interested in hearing his own voice, pushing the jewelry brands that he or the ship got kickbacks from, and selling Effy jewelry on the ship which is 3 times more expensive than on their website. He did not tell us that we would get practically mobbed in St. Lucia by pushy people or that the shops would close at 5 in Barbados even though we were scheduled to be there till 8:30. He also didn’t tell us that shopping in St. Kitts is a lot less stressful and cheaper.
Entertainment

Amazing entertainment! One of the piano entertainers had me so enthralled...he was funny, talented, and I could have watched his show every night.
There was a play that left me very befuddled. “Magic To Do” was interesting. Wonderful music, the entertainers were amazing, and the visuals were breathtaking.....but the storyline left me wondering what just happened? It was all over the place and made no sense.
Service and Staff

Our room steward was ok, not great. He never did cute things with the stuffed animals our girls sent. He was always very late getting to our room (I’m guessing he had to many rooms) and he was nice but there was nothing that stood out about him.
The front desk ladies were wonderful and very sweet. We had many great waiters and bartenders. Fantastic girls doing arts and crafts.
My favorite was a photographer from Brazil named Wanesska (I really hope I spelled it right). She took amazing pictures and was so seeet and friendly.

Ship tip
There are problems with the generators and you are most likely going to miss a stop. Also don’t bother with the raffles, just get your charm and get out!
Another princess excursion. We did the 4x4 and waterfall hike. It’s not really four wheeling for anyone who’s ever been. It’s an open air vehicle that you drive around the island. Our guide was wonderful and we enjoyed the ride. The waterfall is at a small place that has local plants, a pond with fish to give you a pedicure, and a very cold waterfall fed lake that you can swim in. We enjoyed it but heard more people raving about the mud baths tour.
One of our favorites!!! Went on excursion through the ship that took us to Copacabana beach which is gorgeous! Then we went out on a boat to see a shipwreck and turtles. Both were very cool and we saw plenty of fish, some sting rays, and turtles. The crew was exceptional.
My only issue is we arrived later because of the broken generators and left late. Bridgetown shuts down all their shots at 4:30. Also the shops where our boat was docked shut down at 5. By the time we got back there was nothing to do unless you had another excursion booked or you wanted to walk somewhere.
Only place we took a non Princess excursion and we were very pleasantly surprised! Sam the Man took us in a very comfortable van all over the island. He pointed out tons of sights and gave us so much history. We stopped to take pictures and he was funny and so knowledgeable. Best part was the price, $25 a piece! Plus we had time to shop at the little places along the way and back at the port because he got us back in plenty of time.
Also we found a lot of the best prices for souvenirs on this island and the shopkeepers were not constantly hounding you to buy something. One of my favorite islands.
We shopped and went to Meghan’s Bay. You can walk to shops if you don’t mind walking. There are a few cute ones and jewelry here seemed to be slightly cheaper. Especially the pretty but not as real crystal jewelry.
Meghans Bay was beautiful but not our favorite beach. Wear water shoes, and watch your step.
Went on stingray excursion through the ship. The drive was a bit scary but swimming with the rays was amazing! Photos were reasonable and they let you take your own. Water wasn’t very clear because of all the people but it was an amazing experience!
