Review summary

This was the worst cruise we have been on. 3 out of 6 ports were cancelled! We were told the day we got onboard that one of the generators was not in service and we would have to go slower than normal. Therefore, we were not going to Princess Cay (the private island), and afterwards we were also told it was too dangerous to stop at Antigua and St. Kitts supposedly due to rough seas. Yes, the seas were rough, but we were also minus one generator which obviously affected the way the ship was maneuvered and speed. A 10 day cruise only stopping at 3 ports (instead of 6) is a long time on an old ship! Internet service onboard was excellent.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy, fast embarkation due to Medallion service.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food in main dining room and buffet was okay. Nothing special. Sabatini’s was fine and Crown Grill was great. Hamburgers from Salty Dog were great also.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pools were closed for a few days due to rough seas, fitness center was fine, Sanctuary was very relaxing.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
One of the best parts of the cruise was the entertainment. Singers and dancers were terrific.

Children's Programs

Didn’t bring any children with us!

Service and Staff

4 out of 5

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Layout is very common for Princess ships. Ship is old and showing it’s wear. Needs an update!

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Room is very small compared to other cabins on other ships we have been on and shower is almost unusable due to it’s tiny size.

Ship tip

Internet service was excellent and worth the cost, but don’t expect anything else to be exceptional.

We were on the December 27 sailing and also told because of the generator we would be skipping one of the ports. Our weather was lovely, so that was the only one skipped. I’d be upset had it been more than that. They need to resolve this generator problem.
