Review summary

I look forward to the next cruise. This was only my second experience, first cruise was 11 years ago. It was relaxing and enjoyable. I do wish there was more entertainment on the ship, but I do appreciate just relaxing and doing nothing. Very little music at the pool was quite disappointing. The cruise director, Angela, was great. The doctor and nurses were so helpful and much appreciated. My dad spent a lot of time there as he got very sick. I was sort of on my own a lot, which is why more entertainment and things to do on the ship would have been nice. All in all, I would do it again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The food was great all around.

Onboard Activities

Although being at the pool was nice, there was very little entertainment. Especially on sea days, there should be more music playing. I looked forward to Bingo and was surprised that it wasn't played more often.

I was actually a little intimated. I had no idea the price of anything and while I spent a lot of time looking for the photos of my group, not one person asked if they could assist me, but in saying that, I never saw anyone who I thought "worked" at this location that could help me.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The Piano Bar singer was really great, one of the two comedians was great, and one show which was a solo singer was great. The other shows were just okay. Also, the timing of the shows was not great when timed with dinner. We always had to rush out of dinner to make a show.

Children's Programs

Did not bring my children, and never saw any activities other than swimming that my kids would enjoy.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The casino dealers were mostly horrible - zero personality, no smiles, no laughter, just very blah and no fun at all. However, the waiters and room stewards were amazing.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
No complaints.

Cabin / Stateroom

I would have given 5 stars if my shower were just a little bit bigger and the beds been a little bit farther apart. I slept in a room with my dad and we were a tad too close.

Ship tip

Don't go for the massage. It was just an overpriced back rub. Save your $200 for the casino, gift shops, or Effy.

Ports of call

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

Nothing to not love. The water was great, the shops were nice, and no one was hounding you to buy stuff.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

This beach was beautiful, the bar is close, and the water was clear. Very nice destination.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Also a beautiful beach and very friendly people.

Castries, St. Lucia

I could have skipped this island. The natives are annoying and they don't stop hounding you to buy stuff. And they aren't honest. I got ripped off, my fault, and I wish I knew better. The water was not beautiful.

Bridgetown, Barbados

The beach we visited had terrible, huge, rocks in the water, so we had to be super careful. The water was definitely gorgeous and there were not a lot people trying to sell their stuff. It was nice.

St. John's, Antigua

Jolly Beach was very beautiful. The water was crystal clear, but there was a lot of seaweed. I actually got sea lice on my feet. We took a tube ride behind a boat and it was SO MUCH FUN!

Disembarkation

My dad needed wheelchair assistance and it took a couple of hours to get called. It was chaos and the woman in charge of calling the "next person" was missing half the time. It was TERRIBLE.
