Review summary

This is our first cruise with Princess. We enjoyed our trip around UK visiting cities, villages, castles, museums, lakes and Irish bars including the Guinness Brewery. Giants Causeway was a great to visit too.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The buffet restaurant was very busy at breakfast and food was average. We only used a few times as preferred main dinning room for breakfast as better food, friendly waiters and nicer surroundings. Evening meals where taken in main dinning room. We did go to buffet once and found the food bland and not very good. The service was good in main dinning room and food was mostly good. Our only problem was with steak meals which where very fatty and never cooked to requested order. Better beef is a must and training in cook times for steak.

Onboard Activities

Movies under the stars was a good experience.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Room attendant was great, very friendly and kept our cabin spotless.Reception staff where great always happy to see you and very helpful. Waiters in all restaurants where always friendly and could not do enough for you.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship design was pretty standard. All areas were kept very clean. Movies under the stars was excellent. Could do with more shops and sale events where pathetic. Lots of wasted space in art gallery and photo shop areas. Liked the coffee bistro which served hot and cold snacks, some of the food was better than main restaurants.

Agree Lisa. Most food was good except steaks in MDR. Seems you have to pay extra for a proper steak then. Why serve steak in MDR if RUBBISH when all other dishes are good in MDR.

I've found to get a good steak on a Princess ship, you need to go to the Crown Grill. The steaks they serve there are fantastic, and cooked perfectly. Other main dishes in the MDR are quite good, but the steaks not so much.
