for a first cruise for the wife and me was quite boring. We are debating just flying to the caribbean and skipping the cruise ship part next time. took dramamine but it didnt do much, seas were bad in my opinion. i saw 5 ft waves on the some of the pools (well when wave crashed on side, it splashed 5 ft in air). Found out there are better things to take besides dramamine. spent most of 1st day sea sick.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
couldnt get in a specialty restaurant as they were all b ooked. Buffets were very small, with limited selection. dining rooms were ni ce portion size small (less wasted not huge), service looked at me funny when I ordered more food.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
none.... nothing to do on the ship. was a comped cruise from stations casinos, casino didnt have any of the games i played to earn the comp cruise. 1 poker table horrendous rake and only lowest limit of NLH. I did a wine tasting, (that i paid extra for) that was the only activity i did on the ship. I walked by what i thought was an elementary school geography lesson, my wife told me no that was the trivia session. Maybe it was similar to that show smarter than a 5th grader I dont know.
Gatsby's Casino
2 out of 5
vegas style casino?? I live in vegas, not like anything ive seen in vegas. not a single member of staff knew anything about poker, i asked to start an omaha list, and they looked at me like it was a foreign language, they asked me what omaha was.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
i cant answer that question, there were none that i wanted to go to... first day i woke up at 3 am, walked past the club and there was no one even there. it was only 3 am it said the club was open late so i was expecting at least 6 am if not 8 am.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5

Ship tip
bring a book or something to do, on sea days there is nothing to do.
went snorkeling and seeing sting rays at a beach... snorkeling was breath taking. coral reef right at your feet, fish 2 feet below the boat, only wish was we had more time there.
wife and i wanted to leave within 1 or 2 hours of being at ocean world. park was scarce of marine life and their reptile section was 4 lizards.... maybe they were still feeling the effects of hurricane(s)
