Review summary

Very, very enjoyable cruise that I would highly recommend -- unfortunately, the unusually warm weather muted the Fall foliage, but that was out of anyone's control!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy, no wait for our 3:00 PM embarkation!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Early "anytime" dining worked well for us --a combination of immediate seating at a shared table, and waiting in International Cafe (with a drink!) for a table for two, and other times buffet dining in Horizon Court. Never had a bad dining experience during the entire cruise!

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Would have liked onboard daytime lectures as we've enjoyed on other Princess cruises.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Did not go to any shows, but enjoyed the evening music in the Piazza

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Great setvice everywhere; everyone was very, very pleasant and helpful!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Small. but totally adequate for the two of us -- the large mirrors at either end of the stateroom gave an overall sense of a much larger room.

Ports of call

Quebec City, Quebec

5 out of 5
Explored on our own (having previously done tours to Montmorency Falls/Ile d'orleans, and a walking tour of Old Quebec). An absolutely delightful city with the "feel" of being in Europe!

Ville Saguenay, Quebec

5 out of 5
Did a 5 hr excursion of the Fjord on a small (20 passenger bus) -- it was great!

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

5 out of 5
Very nice excursion/tour of island and visit to"Anne of Green Gables house with a pleasant and very knowledgeable local for our tour guide!,

Sydney, Nova Scotia

3 out of 5
The least impressive port on the cruise -- but then again, didn't do an excursion

Halifax, Nova Scotia

3 out of 5
Excursion to Peggy's Cove was enjoyable -- the red color on the ground of the low-lying blueberry bushes was delightful!

Saint John, New Brunswick

5 out of 5
Excursion to Reversing rapdis (saw them going one direction on way out of town, and then, about 5 hours later, flowing in other direction on stop before returning to cruise ship) was REALLY impressive. Bay of Fundy scenery on trip down to St. Marten's was spectactular!

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
Took a most enjoyable morning 2-hr sail on a 4-masted schooner, and then enjoyed a leisurely walk along the Seashore Path.

Boston, Massachusetts Did not visit port

Disembarked cruise here, as we returned to our home (we live here!)

New York, New York Did not visit port

Had disembarked in Boston
