Just Ok, but not Great

Very disappointed. We went on an Alaskan Cruise w/Princess this wasn't even close to the level. I have been on many other cruise lines as well and VERY disappointed.

The best part, the ship was beautiful & clean, nice paintings, carpeting, Main Foyer, Wood work, decks all beautiful.

The food was 2.5 star, Crown Grill terrible!!! Had a table of 7, no one was happy. Well, the filet was very good, but that is it and dessert.

Buffet - just ok - I ate the salmon, capers, cream cheese, dried fish was good. You can't ruin cheese and fruit, it was ok. it was like cafeteria food.

Pizza & Ice Cream - this was good, but I did not come on here for that. Very BAD service. Really... you have 1 person behind here and the longest lines!!! Come on, need to step it up here. It would take 3-5 min. per person, nobody wants to wait. Put a fast person there at least, please!!

Bar - We had the all you could drink package. Even without a line, it would take 5 minutes to pour a Jack & Coke. Very slow. If you wanted a specialty drink, you needed a seat to wait around for 7-9 min. .. whatever it was, to long. first 2 days, no barmaids walking around on, after it was very rare to find them. POOR SERVICE.

however, they were very nice.

Pool Chairs -- no to enforce, no saving. every chair had a towel with no people.

SPA - very good, but very pushy selling you stuff, I needed another massage after the mean face they gave us if we didn't purchase.

SHOWS - this is one of my favorite parts of the ship. The first night was good,(dancers) then downhill from there. I am used to Broadway type shows on a cruise ship, the P.Dawn had excellent shows, these were ok, but very disappointed, feel asleep or walked out.... that's really bad, and remember, I'm on the drink package.

The DISCO was good.

SEA DAY activities - horrible... not interesting....

the APP never worked, wasted my time and no one could help. Great idea, but poor execution.

We had Balcony ROOM. It was spacious and comfortable, steward was good, nothing extra though or special.

I am a long time cruiser and right now, I'm not recommending Princess to anyone. Sorry, call if you want more feedback. I am so disappointed, I feel like a wasted my money and time.
