Review summary

The service received from all staff and their attitude was great. Other than the dispute we have with the obstructed view from our stateroom the only negative issues we experienced were waiting on hour to board a tender going ashore to Cabo and waiting an hour in the lounge to disembark back in LA. Was my first cruise and would go back again being more careful about room selection.

Buffet food was bland and very little taste. Dining room food was very good.

we were very disappointed to say the least! When I booked the trip and saw the room on the ship map I made a point to confirm this room would be unobstructed ocean view. The agent confirmed that it was. Guess we'll agree to disagree on this but you be the judge and view my pics. Worst thing is we even paid more than the room next store and they basically have same view!

Ship tip

if looking for the formal dining wait until after 8pm. by then the crowds are gone, you'll get better service from the staff, plus....they'll bring you extra dishes that you enjoy as the food is prepared and must be consumed that night.

You can also disembark early if you choose the self walk-off. You just have to take your own luggage and would not be able to use Princess transfers to the airport. This is the first group to disembark the ship.

As far as Oceanview obstructed cabins go they are a category of Their Own and you should have known ahead of time when you booked that it was obstructed. And by the way they're cheaper so you saved some money. As time goes on you will be booking interior cabins to save even more money so that you can cruise more often

Only way to get off earlier in cabo being a tender port is to book an excursion through the cruise ship. We always have a late breakfast when in cabo and miss the crush trying to get off the ship. Not to mention most everything isn't open as early as the ships arrive. In regards to getting off in LA only way to get off earlier is to have an early flight. The biggest issue is customs and immigration as they are always a wild card. Welcome to the cruising addiction!
