Review summary

We had always wanted to visit the sea of cortez and this cruise fit our agenda perfectly. There were a few hiccups (tendering in Cabo was a mess) but overall still a 5 star cruise and cruiseline. The sunsets were spectacular, ports were interesting - especially Loreto, and our mini suite

cabin was fantastic. This was our first Princess Cruise and they did not disappoint.

Loved this cabin - bathtub, huge bed and balcony, oversized couch, and walk in closet. Also, the openness of the balcony allows you a planetarium view of the stars at night

Ship tip

We enjoyed breakfast in our room for most of the cruise to avoid the crowded breakfast buffet lines. We found the dinner buffet wonderful and not very crowded.

Sea Port Village that is only a 20 min walk from the ship is fun with lots of shops and eating places.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Tendering is a nightmare at this port. We stayed on the ship

La Paz, Mexico

We did our shopping at the port since the actual city is a half hour bus ride.

Great, charming port. Worth visiting and harkins back to old mexico

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Great shopping area inside and right outside the port. Also the Walmart across the street from the port can help you purchase any of your forgotten items.

Regarding the tendering in Cabo, that's seems to be about standard.  We were re-routed to Cabo due to weather in another port and tendering was also a sub-optimal experience.
