friendly staff and clean ship

Sail Date: June 03, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Overall: Clean and well maintained

Pros: Staff very friendly

Cons: decor was outrageous! lots of dust catching things haning in the atrium. Way overdone! Food was just so-so. Swimming pools were way undersized for the siz of the shio. No self-service laundry facilities. Nite entertainment was very weak.

Recommends Costa Serena? No.

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Selections in dining room were just fair. Hours for lunch and dinner need to be extended. Buffets were always crowded.
Cabin / Stateroom
Too many doors came together at the entrance and all opened into the entry (entry door, closet doors, and bathroom door)
Service and Staff
Very nice and friendly. Our room steward was fantastic, but at the end when we wanted to give him an extra tip, he had been reassigned to a different floor. Also, our waiter was wonderful
Marseille (Provence), France
Catania, Sicily
Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands
Savona (Genoa), Italy
Naples, Italy
We only toured Naples as we have visited Sorrento and Pompeii before. A mistake.
