Review summary

A fabulous value with great port stops...perhaps not enough time in a couple, but overall sufficient. Ship staff second to none - polite, neat, knowledgable, understandable (language) and most of all friendly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Tremendously hard working wait staff. Food was definately above average and plentiful. Nice dining facilities.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Attended seven shows in the theatre: 2 shows scored 10 out of 10 4 shows scored 6 to 8 out of 10 1 - show was absolutely horrendous not deserving of a rating

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Really one of the clear shining stars of my vacation. These folks working on the ship were absolutely spectacular in their abilities and beyond the call in their demeanors. Purely outstanding!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Cleanliness a clear 10 out of 10! Casino, because of excessive children around and not having a no smoking section a 2 out of 10.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
More than sufficient and very neat and clean!

Ports of call

Savona (Genoa), Italy

1 out of 5
Unfortunately, arrived on Sunday - everything is closed!

Marseille (Provence), France

5 out of 5
The pleasant surprise on this itinerary. Fun, alive, neat, clean plenty to explore and typical great French cuisine.

Palermo, Sicily

3 out of 5
Again, great city, fabulous marketplace, decent architecture, loads of life, but a mess.
Don't Miss: Bolera open market

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

5 out of 5
Clearly the best stop from where I embarked, although I think Barcelona may have given this title a run for the money.

Tunis, Tunisia

3 out of 5
Surprisingly clean and orderly. Certainly the typical hawkers for this region, but all-in-all a very nice stop.

Naples, Italy

3 out of 5
Only good because of the general condition of Naples, and frankly most of southern Italy, it's a cesspool. The life abounds, the city is colorful, attractive and very active.
Don't Miss: The new converted train station into a sort of mall.

Pros: The port stops, ship accoutrements, food and mostly the cleanliness of the ship.

Cons: Too many children under age 16 and smoking in the casino.
