Sail Date: December 02, 2007

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

The ship was clean and smooth sailing but was very noisy because of the many sounds the ship made while moving. The shopping areas were too small and had a very limited selection of merchandise. Everywhere on the ship was too crowded because the public facilities were too small for the number of passengers.

Pros: smoothness of ship when sailing and cabin steward

Cons: ship was too crowded and had too many creaking noises

Recommends Costa Fortuna? No.

Nassau, Bahamas
Strictly a tourist trap.
Catalina Island (Isla Catalina), Dominican Republic
It was just a beach area and not equal to the private beaches of other cruise lines we have visited on previous cruises.

Casa De Campo, Dominican Republic
We arrived there in the evening and the ship's staff recommended not going into town. The only option was a theatre performance at an amphitheatre which we chose not to attend.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
The Fortuna did not arrive in San Juan until evening so we were very limited in what we could do or see after dark. An earlier arrival time would have been much better.
