For example: Bring your own pillow. Buy a drink package when you buy your tickets. Plan an average of 15 Euro per day, per person to get a basic shuttle ride off the boat and into the city. Also, make sure you're aware of the 10 Euro per person, per day hotel fee that will be billed to you at the END of the trip

The buffet area was messy, it was very difficult to find a clean table, and even if it was nor piled with dirty dishes, the table were not cleaned., even the floor were sticky most of the time.
The restaurant was much cleaner, but the food was not at all tasty, my kids could have made better pasta.

Keep your service expectations low and you’ll be fine. Prepare to be self-sufficient. Also, double check the Costa site for itinerary changes. We expected, for example, to visit Barcelona. The night before, as we read our daily planner, we learned Barcelona was actually a sea day. Several other US guests had the same surprise. So we were out $800 for a pre-booked tour.
