Review summary

This was my first cruise and a good experience overall. Considering what we paid for the week-long cruise, it was a great deal when you lump transportation, lodging, and food into one price. The entertainment options were excellent; the performers were so talented. One downside of the cruise was that the hot tubs were covered at 8pm, so we weren't able to enjoy them after dinner and a long day of hiking. The other main downside was getting food poisoning on the ship (we didn't eat anything on land) and the staff not showing any concern. I can only hope that no one else got sick. To end this review on a positive note, the stops in Norway and on-land excursions made for a memorable experience.

Instructions weren't very clear, but once we figured out what to do, we didn't have to wait too long and were able to embark earlier than planned.

The food and drink options were ok overall, nothing to write home about. My partner and I both got food poisoning while on the cruise ship, so that was not a fun experience. (We never ate anything on land at the ports of call.) When I mentioned to the Guest Services desk that we got food poisoning, the employees did not ask any questions or show any concern.

Odd that Guest Services was not concerned about food poisoning. Glad to hear that most of the cruise was without incident. Sounds like a great itinerary!
