Great trip for the six of us. Lots of family bonding, which we needed as I wanted my family to get to know my boyfriend, now husband. Counting down to our next cruise in November.
Embarkation

Due to our late flight, we got to ship late. Flying from SFO we were the last ones boarded in our family party, who came from SEA. Check in was great, fast and efficient and the staff got us on board promptly.

Food and Dining

Only second cruise and not a lot to compare too, food and drink was still awesome. I gained 5 lbs on that trip. Only peeve was boyfriend (then) bought soda package and felt like he had to wait a long time to get his non-alcoholic drink. Like it wasn’t a priority. He talked to the purser?.... customer service and that was corrected promptly.
Onboard Activities

Days at sea were leisurely and fun. Several times, we were lucky enough to have pools almost to ourselves, which was unbelievable. This cruise happened to have a lot of seniors on board who tended to turn in earlier in the evening. Lol 🥳 That was our time to explore the ship! My brother, wife and us grabbed a bunch of streamers, balloons and (teepeed) our parents door one one night and snuck away. We all got a kick out of that! Great fun!
Entertainment

It’s been awhile so can’t remember too much, I can only assume the entertainment was awesome 👏 too.

Service and Staff

The staff assigned to us in dining and our room were just wonderful. They took the time to learn about us and were very engaging at all times.
Ship Quality

Everything looked just wonderful. We had one incident where there was a bug infestation all over the decks. This was when we had stopped in Panama. Hot night, it seemed to attract them. Anyway, the next morning we got up pretty early and wallah, all decks were clean as a whistle. They must have worked through the night because it was pretty bad.
Cabin / Stateroom

First cruise, so still learning then, we had an inside room, no view. (Never again) The room always looked fresh, clean and a treat on our pillow nightly.
Not sure what was going on, but we were tendered very late to a small area that had one gift store. Very limited time and there appeared to be some unrest and had to wait for police to get there. I did get a picture with the an officer who was carrying a huge rifle. I think I was as tall as he was!
The port we stopped at was Puntarenas. We were bused up a narrow dirt road, (reminded me of Romancing the Stone) to a culture center where we were treated to fresh fruit. Than they put on a story dance about CR. Had a buffet lunch😋really good. Iguanas, wild birds all around. What a treat.
We hung out at the beach with our ship in the background. We rented a jet ski and rode all over and around our docked ship. Lots of shopping at local flea market. Another good day.
Not one of our faves. Very overcrowded, and vendors very pushy for you to buy. We rented a van and driver right off ship , who was nice, but seamed like he took us to family owned businesses.🤷♀️
Loved Cabo, went snorkeling via catamaran excursion. The sea life was very cool, thought I was in a giant aquarium. On the way back, we were treated to drinks and fresh fruit, sandwiches and fresh guacamole. Sailed back listening to 70s rock and roll. Had a great time.
