Review summary

A special cruise to celebrate our mom’s birthday and to see 1 of the 7 wonders of the world with family!! We would cruise on the Coral Princess again, for sure!

Embarkation

3 out of 5
We were herded like cattle but the lines did go fast n smooth. The Princess employees there should learn to smile.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
After 7 days (15 day cruise) the buffet became somewhat repetitive. We did enjoy Sabatini’s and the Bayou restaurant ($29 upcharge per person). Food and service great!! We loved our dinners in the Province dining room because we loved our waiters (more than the food).

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Loved using the hot tub late evenings. Mojority of the times we had the tub to ourselves. We did not use the fitness center, We managed to catch a movie on the pool deck. Nice and relaxing on the lounge/pool chairs.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We visited all the bars on the ship and enjoyed a drink while listening to live performers. Especially loved the pianist and violinist in the atrium. They were great!!

Children's Programs

Did not travel with children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Carlito, our stateroom steward absolutely the best. He kept our room clean, neat and odor free. He always greeted us with a smile. We enjoyed exchanging stories about our families. Our Province dining room waiters....we love them! Montree, Adonis n Sylveste (table 187) Knew our likes and dislikes by 3rd day for this family of 8. Remembered our drinks, dressings and who drank coffee/tea. They explained how some of the foods were prepared before we ordered to be sure we would enjoy. Even when they were rushed serving their tables, they did so with humor and a smile (always)!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We never saw a tissue or piece of trash in common areas, hallways, elevators or restrooms. We saw the stairwell rails cleaned several times a day. Even the buffet floors were debris free. Coral Princess just the right size to familiarize yourself quickly.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Just the right cabin size for 2 people to be comfortable. Bathroom a little small but who spends a lot of time in the bathroom? Loved the extended balcony. Spent quite a bit of time on the lounge chairs reading and listening to the sea.

Ship tip

When going to your stateroom if you have an even number (example: D402) the hallway carpet has a red stripe and odd numbers carpet has a blue stripe.

Ports of call

Highlight of the cruise. No excursion for us, just leisurely watched us going thru the locks from our balcony and buffet dining room. The weather was perfect!!

Cartagena, Colombia

4 out of 5
Hot and muggy! We did a tour of the city. Our tour guide warned us of the many street venders and boy, was she right! The port is located in an industrial area.

Oranjestad, Aruba

4 out of 5
No excursion but we did get off the ship to walk around the town. Clean, lots of little shops, a couple of casinos and a mini mall all walking distance to the ship. Port is clean and not far to walk to town.

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
Didn’t really see the port as we arrived while still dark. No excursion.

We did the Coral to Panama last December. It was outstanding. Just loved it. We are doing 10 days on the Royal, November 5. Can't wait! Anxiously counting the days. 😁
