Panama Canal visit

Sail Date: December 07, 2015

Traveled As: Couple

The Coral Princess is a beautiful ship with real wood furnishings.  The service was excellent and the meal selection was, also.  The ease of enrolling on the ship, once we were there, was fantastic.  Also, disembarkation at the end of the cruise was noneventful and very well done.  When we returned to the ship after an excursion, workers met us with cold towels and water, which was a wonderful touch.  The captain and cruise director let us know, step by step, what was going on as our ship traveled through the locks at the Panama Canal.  This was outstanding.  There was plenty of opportunity for shopping, and the entertainment was great!  I loved this cruise and did not want to leave the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom
Great service by Kurt, our cabin attendant. The cabin was very clean. The only trouble we had was there was a strong urine smell, at times, in the bathroom. Kurt explained why--a small area where waste had to be extracted from the bathroom, which causes a smell at times. Also, the TV remote control was temperamental--worked sometimes, sometimes not. Overall, however, I was pleased, especially with the balcony as we went through the locks.

Tip

Great hamburgers and hot dogs. However, I got bored with breakfast selections after awhile. Dinner meal selections were great--surf and turf, pork chops, steak, etc.
