Review summary

Most enjoyable cruise ever on Princess.  Other than the snorkeling excursion in Aruba, the rest of the excursions were very memorable.  The food was excellent and our wait staff superb.  As soon as we got off the ship, we wanted to get back on.

Carpeting was pulling away from wall and floor. Could easily have been glued. Florescent light at sliding glass door was burnt out its and cover was held up with a zip tie. Fabric headboard was dirty from prior passengers resting their heads on it.

Ship tip

Best entertainment of any prior Princess cruise. Food was consistent and great throughout the trip. Ship is just the right size. Elevators were hardly ever crowded and access to all locations were very convenient. Cabin steward, waiter and assistant were exceptional.

Find a hotel that has pickup from the airport as well as delivery to the port. Hampton Inn North Airport was very clean and the staff were super. $6/pp fee to the ship and well worth it. Hampton also includes a breakfast. Reserve early. They fill up fast.

Oranjestad, Aruba

Don't take the snorkeling excursion. Minimal coral with sandy bottom. Also the sunken ship was a waste. Waves made it impossible to stay in the water, and the boat crew wasn't very helpful.

Cartagena, Colombia

Great trip through old and new city including the fortress.

Pay $60 per person for an all day entry to the Sanctuary. Includes continental breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, complimentary photo, small round pool and attendants taking care of you from 7am to 5pm. Best part is limited access to 35 guests.

Puntarenas, Costa Rica

Took a United Cruise excursion. It was one of the best excursions to the hanging bridges. Small bus that went in areas where the large tour buses couldn't go. Also went down the river where our tour guide fed the alligators...UNBELIEVABLE!

San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua

Great trip to Granada and the lake. Would have liked more than 25 minutes in the middle of the town. Lunch was excellent

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Enjoyed the trip to Toto Santos and the visit to the Hotel California. Had plenty of time to shop the stores near the dock. Very negotiable with merchandise in the small outdoor shops along the dock.

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

Earliest disembarking if you can take your own suitcases to the mustering site for early disembarking.
