Review summary

We expected a large amount of families with children on this cruise and we weren't disappointed. If you don't want to be around children while cruising then don't book a cruise on this ship when kids aren't in school. We enjoyed the Summit but we won't be booking another cruise on this ship during holidays or peak cruise season because of the way the passenger traffic flows.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Fast and Painless

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and drinks were good

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
It was evident the ship was full and difficult to enjoy the sundeck pool and hot tubs. The hot tubs were always full of kids throughout the day.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Lots of talent and we enjoyed every event we attended.

Children's Programs

We didn't bring any children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Even though the ship was full the staff did an outstanding job.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
It's an older ship and the renovation is starting to show it's age. We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the windows and glass panels.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our room was always clean and spotless. All personal room preferences were met quickly. It made for an enjoyable cruise experience.

Ship tip

Seating in the lounges made it difficult to enjoy the entertainment in the lounges. Several high traffic areas from one point of the ship to another were through lounges seating. Go early, 30 minutes or more, to find a seat to minimize disruptions.

Ports of call

Key West, Florida

1 out of 5
We just walked around and enjoyed a couple slices of key lime pie before going back to enjoy the less crowded ship.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Great weather and a pleasant experience. We want to go back

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth and quick. No wait for our checked luggage or getting a taxi.

If there are kids in the adult only I’m talking to somebody day 1 . You allow it to happen and it’s gonna happen

Nothing against kids, I have them plus 4 grandchildren. But IMO I think there should be a certain age for kids to cruise. 10 and up would be nice. Younger kids (toddlers) will always have their bad days and they will not remember even being on a cruise. And it’s definitely not fun for the parents or people around them. As I said ,IMO.
