Review summary

Overall it was nice to finally get away but it wasn't without its disappointments. The liquor scarcity and outages along with the itinerary change created unexpected worries. Getting bumped from our berth at King's Wharf after one day we felt real sorry for the older cruisers in wheelchairs and walkers (and there were many) because that meant that they were confined to the ship after the first day in Bermuda. Add that to all the aggravation in finally getting an approved Travel Authorization from Bermuda (they were quick in grabbing your $40 though). And, once again, DON'T GO TO SNORKEL BEACH! This was our 4th visit to Bermuda and I'm pretty sure they've seen the last of us.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Confusing and quite a hassle due to Bermuda's Travel Authorization requirements

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was fine. We were in Aqua class so we mostly ate in Blu. Disappointed in the fact that we upgraded to premium liquor package but they didn't have most of the premium beers and liquor that I upgraded for to drink.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
We really didn't do any activities on the ship

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We mostly saw the comedian(s). Should have been more live (or any kind) of music on the ship.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the staff was excellent and extremely friendly. In Blu there was Kuksel, Ria, Johanny, Andy and Miller. Our cabin person, Alexander, was outstanding. The Iputu bartenders were great but Nyoman at the Sunset Bar was the absolute best.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Everything was very well organized and laid out. Plently of storage space. Things have sure come a long way.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

4 out of 5
Not their fault necessarily but the confusion over the Bermuda Travel Authorization caused our group to immediately be separated upon embarking.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

3 out of 5
Don't go to Snorkel Beach. What a rip off as it was but then to get lied to about the costs of beers added insult to injury

Charleston, South Carolina

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quickest we ever got off a ship and through customs
