Review summary

A great 5 day cruise to disconnect from work and relax with a great ship and services!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Orderly and fast. We brought all of our documentation pre-printed which seemed to work as fast or faster than the Celebrity app.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We always enjoy the main dining room! This trip we added Tuscan one night for dinner and again for the Back Yard Grill Lunch on one of the at sea days. We will do both of those again! Delicious. We had access to Blu as AquaClass guests this trip and enjoyed Breakfast there too! We learned that the Blu menu may be augmented with the main dining room menu too which added to our enjoyment.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Solarium was delightful for the salt pool and relaxing. We also enjoyed the shopping and casino too!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We really enjoy the live performances on board Celebrity. Each evening was great. Comedy, music, dance - all were well done and extremely enjoyable. Musicians were great, both in the evening shows and around the ship in smaller formats too. DJ music was fun.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Top notch service from our cabin to every interaction with the Summit Team. Every dining experience was perfectly executed. Even our trip to the customer service desk was pleasant and our questions were answered quickly and friendly.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We enjoy this size of ship, with capacity for approximately 2,000 guests and 999 crew. It is easy to reach any point on the ship from any cabin. We've cruised this Millennium Class four times, twice on the original Millennium and twice on the Summit. The remodel is recent so all finishes and fixtures are in great condition.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
5 stars for the deck space! Sitting table with 3 chairs plus 2 chase lounge chairs with a small table to sit in between or to one side. CAREFUL - You can hear every time a table is moved on deck 10 rear bar directly over the room. We didn't really hear the chairs moving but a table definitely makes some noise. This cabin is handicap accessible and you need to know this is different than the other cabins adjacent to this one. We know exactly as we stayed in 9162 last cruise. There is room for maneuvering if you are on wheels. The bathroom has a single flat floor (no tub) and requires towels laid out as a water berm to keep the whole floor from getting soaked when shower is used. Whole floor still will be damp. Cabinets have height accommodations for hanging items. Overall storage and shelf space feels less than the standard cabin - especially in the bathroom as shelf space is only above the sink.

Ship tip

All the action is on decks, 4, 5, 10 or 11. You may want to get familiar with deck 3 to find Tuscan - easiest approach is to use the rear elevator bank to drop down to Tuscan.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
Smoothest airport to ship transfer we have experienced in cruising. Celebrity terminal is currently being remodeled. Our departure was on a Spring Break Saturday - no issues getting to the airport but 90+ minute wait to get through security at MIA.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Enjoyed picking up a local tour to see Nassau and Paradise Island.

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Summit docked away from other cruise ships so our path on this trip was not to the traditional shopping village and then into Cozumel. It was basically onto the street across from the Hooters Bar.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Unbelievable smooth ending to our trip - a leisurely breakfast in Blu and then we walked down to pick up our luggage off of the conveyor.
