Review summary

This was a nice visit to Bermuda if you have not visited before. The cruise itself was somewhat mixed. WE liked the ship since we do not like the current wave of huge mega ships, and the staff for the most part was exceptional. The only real down side was that there were too many young children who seemed to run around the adult areas such as bars and dance floors. This really detracted from our enjoyment of the cruise itself. We will probably stay away from Celebrity cruises during vacation periods in the future.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarking was smooth and quick with no issues at all

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was less than what we had experienced on previous Celebrity cruises. Not bad, but just rather uninspiring.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5

Entertainment

4 out of 5
For the short cruise, we felt their was sufficient variety and good quality of entertainment

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The staff was a rather mixed bag. Our room steward was exception, carefully watching when we left so he could make up the cabin, etc. The wait staff in the restaurant was also exceptional; both the waiters and the wine steward. The waiters in the bar areas was a totally different experience. It was like they did not want to acknowledge anyone; just wander around. Several times I had to go the bar and order my drinks, which I normally do not care to do.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Clean and well maintained; since it was just renovated a few months ago. Art work and some color schemes seemed on the cheap side as far as appearance.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was very nice

Ship tip

Be aware, Celebrity does nothing to control small children running around the bar areas and even sitting at the bar.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

1 out of 5
This is a see nothing, ship port only. It is a long way from anything worth visiting.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
The 2 night stay at King's Wharf was exceptional. Plenty to see and do at the wharf area itself, plus easy ferry rides to Hamilton and St George's. Both worth visiting.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
No issues

We went in early September on one of the last cruises of that year for Bermuda, I think the Captain announced that there were only 12 children on the ship lol. It was quite amazing!

Celebrity is in the hospitality business. They do not "control" kids.

You'll have the kid problem on all cruise during the summer. That's why I go in early December
