Review summary

Great cruise on a wonderful ship. Weather was an issue this time- about 25 degrees colder than out last trip.. that can't be helped. Love the Summit and will be back on in May looking forward to results of dry dock

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Cape Liberty is a joy to embark from and debark at-from drop off to the Martini Bar in 15 minutes and from number being called to curb in 25 minutes- including finding our bags

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate breakfast and dinner in Blu- food was excellent and on the few nights when the menu just didn't click with us, found something on the Main Dining Room menu that was very good. Service was amazing. Much (too much?) time at the Martini Bar- it was not as popular as it has been on prior trips- couldn't figure it out but maybe just a different crowd. There was a frenzy at the Ocean View at the seafood lunch- arguments and a fight- noone on a cruise will starve!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
other than the spa we are not big on "activities

Entertainment

4 out of 5
only went to a few shows- the Beatles group was very good. A singer had a great voice but had a boring song list. That was it for us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Wonderful room steward who always "got it" the 1st time. Service in Blu is excellent. Our waiter has been our waiter on several cruises so it is always like old home week when we get on board.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was clean. Love the layout of the Summit but she is really showing her age- dry dock can't come soon enough! Parts of the ship are just shabby

Cabin / Stateroom

Bar Harbor, Maine Did not visit port

Weather kept us from there- tenders would have been a nightmare in the rough water

Quebec City, Quebec

Beautiful port. Love this place. Have done several tours over the years so we ate local food and roamed around. One nice thing is we were there on Sunday morning so we went to Mass at Notre Dame Cathedral

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

Love PEI but will admit it was not as much fun in the cold and wind. Still had ice cream at Cows

Sydney, Nova Scotia

Not much to do here( 4th trip)- we just walk to a favorite restaurant for a very good lobster roll

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Thriving city- we just walked and ate another good meal

Disembarkation

25 minutes from our number being called to curbside. The lines moved very quickly
