Review summary

The ship is dated and needs work. The crew tried hard and mostly succeeded. The food was acceptable, but the buffet needs more for the amount of people it serves.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The specialty dinning was excellent, but the buffet was too small for the amount of people and we had to wait on lines for food and tables. Will not take this ship again.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The wait staff tried to accommodate our requests and for the most part did. The room stewards were overworked but accommodating . Everyone was friendly and went out of there way to make sure you were satisfied.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Old and dated needed maintenance. For instance the shade on the window in the dinning room broke the second night and stayed there for a couple of days. It was then removed and never replaced. The window had rust and looked like it needed a lot of work.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a concierge class cabin, that was no bigger than the regular veranda type cabins. The bed was awful and had to have them put two additional puddings on the bed to make it bearable. The room was old and needed some care and maintenance. The rug was old the bathroom small and the shower needed to be updated. Lacked sufficient storage.

Ship tip

Old ship and crowded. No place to go, but maybe because of the weather, with everyone inside

Hop on Hop off bus took too long. Over an hour to get to Fenway Park. The bus that picked us up at the port shuttle us to a place in the city to pick up the hop on hop off bus which was across a busy street from the bus and then had to wait for a bus with about another 70 people. Waited for two buses before we could get on.

Took a tour to The ports of call were ok, but not what we expected. The shore excursion to Peggy's cove which was beautiful, but took over an hour by bus to get there. After that we thought we were going to the Titanic museum but went to the grave site of the victims. (this was our fault we misread the itinerary). We only got 20 minutes there because we ran out of time and ship was sailing.

Bar Harbor, Maine

Do not like ports of call that have to be tendered. Took over an hour to get off the ship and to the port.

Portland, Maine

Again the tour took over an hour to reach its destination to Kennebuckport
