Review summary

We were looking forward to our cruise for a long time, but from the time we boarded and were sent to the buffet for lunch we could see this ship was not as nice as what we have been on in the past, the windows are dirty, the ship is dated looking, the buffet was crowded and no place to sit, the food was nothing exciting. The inside cabin was better than expected, the entertainment was very good, the staff tried to do a very good job with an old ship and limited items on menu, but overall we were pretty disappointed.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
This is where we were disappointed, the dining food was ok, but not the quality we have had on other cruises. There is only 1 menu for breakfast, so no variety, the buffet had basically the same breakfasts and lunches. There were lines for breakfast and lunch dining so opted to just eat at buffet after the first couple of days.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed Jim Kennedy's talks on NASA, jacuzzi wasn't hot enough, fitness center was excellent.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We were happy with all the shows except the last 2 night productions were fair

Children's Programs

no kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had select dinner, but the accommodated us and gave us the same waiters after the first couple of days

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The ship is old and needs some work. There is no circle to walk/jog on any deck. The carpets are dated. There is no self laundry service, only option was to pay $50/per load or wash by hand in your bathroom sink.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Our inside cabin was surprisingly good size as well as the bathroom. The toilets are very loud and do not flush well.

Ship tip

Don't book a cruise on this ship.

yes, the ship is dated. There are newer, fancier ships out there with more food options, but for those of us in for the R & R, a laid back reset of hectic everyday life, this ship fills the bill.

We sailed the last cruise to Bermuda of the season and really enjoyed it. The staff on the ship was excellent and thought the food was above average. We enjoyed it so much we booked same cruise next year.
