Review summary

Overall we enjoyed ourselves but prefer being on land and taking our time to get to know the culture and experience the environment and atmosphere. At this time we do not have cruising in our plans. Cheap Cruises and Violet was very helpful and I appreciate that!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
This was our first cruise and the process was a piece of cake!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food in the OceanView dining area was typical buffet style food. The Service was exceptional!

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
We were board within six hours of being on the ship. Too many activities revolve around selling items. I didn't go on a cruise to purchase jewelry, bid on art work, etc. We did enjoy the trivia games throughout the day and participated in a few of the dance lessons. It would have been nice is the casino, shops and bars were open for business throughout the day. It was very sporadic.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the Celebrity Theater and local company as well as the Tribute to Billy Joel.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff was superb! Javan was in charge of tidying and cleaning our cabin and ensuring we were comfortable. Javan always had a smile on his face, was very personable but not overbearing. Both my husband and I feel he should be recognized for such a hard worker and great can do attitude! Our waiter in the main dining room for dinner was Massas and also Nilo -- both were very attentive, made recommendations and we were very pleased with both! They too should be recognized!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We were extremely impressed by the cleanliness of the ship. There was also someone wiping down railings, or dusting and generally keeping all areas of the ship clean! That gave me a great feeling because I have been so apprehensive about cruising and getting ill due to virus'... it didn't happen! 5++++++ stars!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were pleasantly surprised to see the size of our cabin and the storage! Also the window, well I'll just say we were expecting a little port hole and we had a wonderful view of the ocean. The cabin depicted in the photos are 100% accurate! Very pleased....the a/c was awesome too!

Ship tip

Bring playing cards and perhaps a backgammon board or some sort of game you can play when you can't find anything on the cruise agenda to keep you busy.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

5 out of 5
Easy in and Easy out! Fantastic!

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
Loved King's Wharf, Bermuda -- the locals/people of Bermuda are some of the nicest people I have ever met! Will definitely go back -- but by airplane...we found we really are not cruise people. But we tried it and it was fun...we just got bored too easily.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very clear cut and easy

Traveler Photos

The Museum is worth a visit! Saint Catherine's Beach (a quieter beach than Horseshoe Bay)

Cruising is not for everybody --a lot of people prefer land vacations. I enjoy seeing different ports and all that comes with the ship. Nightly entertainment and dinners are great !!

Thanks for trying cruising out. You gained experience, and will not regret never trying a floating hotel.
