Review summary

Food and Entertainment about as good as we have seen in many cruises. Coordination and general knowledge of other personnel marginal. Embarkation and disembarkation poorly handled and way below anything we have ever experienced. Bayonne as a port doesn't seem to cut it. Don't think I would sail out of Bayonne again with Celebrity or anyone else for that matter. It's closer but poorly run. Also, the fact that Celebrity hid the holiday aspects of this week in Bermuda as well as the fact that they couldn't locate a previous sailing with Celebrity some years ago make us cautious about sailing with them again.

Ship tip

Get to Bayonne early or you may have to park a distance away. The guarantee on the parking garage isn't worth much. Also be prepared to wait. Checking in to the ship is inordinately long. They don't have enough personnel to support a problem and everything backs up.That's the ships fault. Disembarkation is a mess and that's the government's fault plus not enough pressure from Celebrity to get their act together. There are 20 customs desks at exit and only 4 were manned - Ridiculous!. So ridiculous one suspects it's probably caused by an action by Trump reducing customs officials.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

Been there lots of times and like it. However, we didn't know that there was a big holiday on the Island that week during the ship's stay . Many shops in Hamilton and St. George were closed and transportation was curtailed. Fist advice to us was when we got on the ship. The information was probably held back so as not to discourage passengers from not booking that week. We couldd have easily chosen another week had we known. probably

King's Wharf, Bermuda

4 out of 5
Been there lots of times - even the day Kings Wharf burned down back in the 60's. Not bad but the prices seem to have gotten quite high for what you get.

Disembarkation

It stunk - on hot ice!! As noted above the Us Customs, with 20 stations provided, elected to man only 4! You can imagine the mess, confusion and loss of temper on some peoples parts. The line should assure that the government mans the exit stations properly. Again, only 4 of the 20 stations were manned. I'd think twice about using Bayonne again.
