Review summary

We had a nice pleasant cruise. There was good food and drinks, beautiful port and a spacious room. We could have used one more day in Bermuda as we were rained out one day.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main Cafe was the largest restaurant. It had an incredible amount and variety of foods all day. We ate lunch there every day. The food was very very good. I only took issue with the deserts; most were tasteless. But there was lots of fruits, salads, Ice cream bar etc. Biu Restaurant was a speciality dining room that was included in the aqua class package. We ate there four nights. Most food was good, although there were a couple of not so great choices. The good thing was that if you weren't satisfied they would bring you something else, no questions asked. The Tuscan restaurant was Italian and passable. Good steaks, pasta ok. Red sauce not like mom's so take a pass.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools were good though the seating was not adequate. They should figure out a system to see that everyone who wants a chair at the pool gets one. People would put there stuff out on chairs at 7 am and disappear until noon, or leave the pool and not put there used towel in the bin. So there were towels on all the chairs all day. Spa was awesome, gym was really nice, stores on board were typical. Casino was ok also, though we didn't play.

Entertainment

Saw the comedian on the last night. He was good and family friendly. Its nice to hear a comedian be funny without using "F" every other word.

Service and Staff

friendly and pleasant

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean and nice

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Large enough to be comfortable. Plenty of storage. Our room was right at the top go the main steps and the cafe was just one flight down. If we wanted a snack it was like going down to our kitchen, very convient location.

Ship tip

Unless you're a big drinker or drink a bottle of wine every day, don't bother with the expensive drink package. We also bought the wifi package, which we needed for work. Wifi was not exactly high speed, more like 2G.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

Easy to navigate and park.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

The port was nice. Plenty of shopping and sightseeing, beach etc. within walking distance. We took the excursion to Horseshoe Cove beach. I agree that the setting of the beach was beautiful but the entire beach was PACKED with chairs, people, kids, towels, and people, lots and lots of people. You could hardly find a space and I felt like it was Fourth of July at the Jersey Shore. I wouldn't go back.

Disembarkation

We did the self assisted walk off. We were at the door at 7:30 with our bags and off the ship by 8:30.
