2016 Bermuda Cruise

Sail Date: May 01, 2016

Reviewed: 5 months ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

My husband and I loved the delicious food, the entertainment, and the ship as well as the spa for a massage and acupuncture (first time in my life).  We loved the Select Dining because we had a new set of six tablemates each dinner at 6 p.m.  Our only complaint was that the service was slow in the Main Dining Room--each dinner took at least two hours, not including our conversations with our tablemates.  We enjoyed the volleyball competition, the cooking competition, and the music by the gentleman on Deck 5, plus other entertainment.

Cabin / Stateroom
Our Stateroom Attendants were very good. Arif was our main attendant with an assistant. Arif was very friendly and helpful, and they kept our stateroom very clean.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Our embarking on May 1 in Bayonne, NJ was very smooth. Our disembarking on May 8 was even smoother. We left the ship at 8 a.m., collected our luggage in the port building, went through Customs, walked to our car in the paid parking lot, and were leaving the port by 8:25 a.m. in our car! Record time!
Ship Quality
Destinations and Excursions
Onboard Activities
Children's Programs N/a There were only 8 children on this cruise, which was very nice; and they were all very well behaved.
Service and Staff
The waiters during the 6 p.m. dinners in the Main Dining Room were too slow. Two hours for each dinner is too long.
Food and Dining
Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey
Easy arrival directions with signage
King's Wharf, Bermuda

The Celebrity Summit is a beautiful cruise ship. This was our third sailing on this ship and our sixth cruise with Celebrity. In total, we have cruised 14 times, some of which were on other cruise lines.
