Review summary

My husband and I loved the delicious food, the entertainment, and the ship as well as the spa for a massage and acupuncture (first time in my life).  We loved the Select Dining because we had a new set of six tablemates each dinner at 6 p.m.  Our only complaint was that the service was slow in the Main Dining Room--each dinner took at least two hours, not including our conversations with our tablemates.  We enjoyed the volleyball competition, the cooking competition, and the music by the gentleman on Deck 5, plus other entertainment.

Children's Programs

N/a There were only 8 children on this cruise, which was very nice; and they were all very well behaved.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The waiters during the 6 p.m. dinners in the Main Dining Room were too slow. Two hours for each dinner is too long.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our Stateroom Attendants were very good. Arif was our main attendant with an assistant. Arif was very friendly and helpful, and they kept our stateroom very clean.

Ship tip

The Celebrity Summit is a beautiful cruise ship. This was our third sailing on this ship and our sixth cruise with Celebrity. In total, we have cruised 14 times, some of which were on other cruise lines.

Oasis class are the giant ships. The Independence(Freedom class) was their larger ship until the Oasis ones. Independence carries around 4300 guests, double what the Summit does

What are the smaller ships for rccl? So many ships it's confusing

Cruiser262. No need on the smaller ships I believe. We didn't need too. They did lots of theme nights; it was more of a partyish atmosphere than we wanted

Thx for the info quiltnutcreations. I have done 2 Celebrity cruises and just wanted to compare it to rccl. Alot of ppl complain about having to preregister for shows on rccl.

Cruiser262 We just did the Summit. We did an RRCL cruise in November; didn't like it. Ports were great; didn't like the ship. Too big/too many people. It was the Indepence. Food was great as were the shows. The staff was fabulous also. We would rather do Celebrity instead

Thanks for the info I will be on the summit in Jan. To key west and the Bahamas. Thinking of taking a Bermuda cruise trying to decide on rrcl or summit suggestions?

Denpag, there are usually 2 shows/night. A 7pm show for the later dinner seating and a show at 9pm for the early dinner seating. You shouldn't miss any

Did u miss the shows cause the time spent eating? I'm going in November solo and want to eat early and see shows
