Review summary

The cruise was very nice, interesting ports, weather good--had a few hot days early on, then cooled down. This early cruise did not yield the Fall Foliage we were about 2 weeks early....

This ship needs a game room/card room--had to find a dining room to play cards.

While cruisers warm up in the elevators, and dining room and bars and shows, there needs to be something done about the Buffet dining...many singles or couples in larger tables, leaving empty seats, but people reluctant to sit with them. Need a head waiter or floater person seating in those seats to maximize seating at busy times....use of a table marker that "invites" people to "share" these two or 4 seats....vs. people not asking...the Industry needs to fix this on ALL ships. Also people sit long after eating, sipping drinks vs. getting up even with signs on tables to free up table--maybe more table sittings out side  or an overflow area.

Also on this ship too many smoking areas outside eating areas that overflowed to us non smokers...need to find better solutions....

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Good, except for seating as noted in review--not enough or not managed well in Buffet areas

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
No game room, or card rooms-had to use a dinning room-not advertised well

Entertainment

Children's Programs

only a few children on board; mostly elderly, but did visit kids area and it was nice

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Table 217 was excellent, Moe and team did a great job

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Ship was doing onboard repairs, and we asked to be moved--it was near our cabin. The next day we were moved to 9031, with same size room, but small walk out--noise not heard here. Charlie did a great job

Ship tip

Titanic exhibit in Halifax is great--county side not that great; Peggys Cove excellent...like a movie set.
