Review summary

Overall this was a great cruise mostly because the itinerary included Bermuda for an overnight and allowed plenty of time in port. The ship itself is large enough to offer options and small enough not to get lost. Plenty of intimate areas which work out well for single or groups to set up and socialize. When using the pool area the Pool Butler staff was the best I have seen they constantly checked back on everyone to make sure they had everything they needed.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Only the room service was available after 12:30 AM so you were stuck waiting to get served in your room. the late night Pizza bar was usually out of pizza late at night when people are actually wanting something before bed...The main dining room 'Cosmopolitan' was not as good as newer Celebrity ships like Solstice and the service was extremely slow. The Buffet restaurant Waterfall Cafe was more reliable and had just as good tasting food with better service.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Plenty to do on port or sea days. the Cruise Director could however benefit from demonstrating flexabilty of lenghtening well attended events as opposed to shortening them. For example we noticed large crowds gathering for Karaoke and after only and hour the crowd was dispersed so a band could play which nobody stayed to listen to? These types of things happened nightly and seem to display a disconnect between what the guests are actually doing and the 'Auto Program' the ship seems to run on without regard to the needs or likes of the guests.....

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Staff was friendly and always willing to help and eager to please however our stateroom attendant always seemed to miss something and was not very attentive to things like wet towels left on chairs outside on the balcony or on the desk chair. they would remain for days until we piled them on the floor and asked to have them taken away.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
For i's age the Summit is in great shape and well cared for. She may lack some of the fresh amenities newer larger ships have but she has almost everything one could want. Although the Spa facilities lacked a steam room in the locker rooms...

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nice size and typical in layout and design.

Ports of call

King's Wharf, Bermuda
