Review summary

At first glance, the ship is beautiful. Other than that, you are on your own. No cute towel animal in your room at night and no cholocolate at turn down. Spa tries to charge you for service areas that are free and guilts you into buying take home items after payable treatment telling you "what you just paid for will not help if you don't buy and follow up with their EXPENSIVE products". Husbands & wife's be careful, they will see you the same items to take home to the same place. Formal dining is unfriendly and food leaves A LOT to be desired. We ordered a birthday cake for an 18th birthday traveler with us to be delivered to our tabel obn a specific night, it arrived to our stateroom 2 days later to be eaten on the bed with paper plates and no staff presentation. Drinks and Bingo are VERY over priced compared to other cruise lines and all activities seem to be booked at the same time so you can only pick one, then either go to the casino or watch TV in your stateroom. Activities need to be spread out. Not enough scheduled for older teenagers to do. Otherwise, the room as clean and it was easy to get on and off the ship with no waiting and no issues. I would NOT recommend this ship or Celebrity again. We have been on about 15 cruises now, all over the world, and on various lines, but this one was by far the worse overall and most boring. Staff was not friendly either and NEVER went out of their way to help or see if you needed anything, and when they did, they toook FOREVER! We were actually late for Bingo just waiting for the bartender to pour 2 glasses of champagne on our way into the hall as they had no wait/bar staff in the game to serve drinks. Only select this cruise line or ship if you are traveling with older adults who want to relax, have all night to get served, don't really care about the quality of the food or the activities scheduled on board.

Ports of call

St. George's, Grenada

Before you hit the island, walk into town a few blocks each way to the grocery and get some spices. While the locals may fight over who will be your taxi for hire, which is a bit overwhelming, they are very nice once you select one. Frome the ship you can walk in town a bit and see the old church that is accepting donations to be restored as well as Fort George. Then hire a taxi, for a pre negotiated rate, to do about a 1 hour island tour with you to also get some local information as to how theyu live. Have them take you to a beach, although stay away from the Black Sand Beach and don't pay until they take you back to the ship. They may make you feel guilty about a samll tip, but just walk away. They won't follow.

Hired a local to drive you around for a few hours, tell you about the island and take you to Trafalgar Falls for s short hike and water fall view. then have them drop you at a beach for a short day of fun and sun before heading back to the boat. You pay at the end so there is no need to worry about not having a ride back in time. The locals are very proud of their country and how self sufficient they are and have no problem politiely telling you this. They are very non-aggressive people.

Bridgetown, Barbados

We had been there for a week a few years ago and love it here. Beautiful island, nice people. Beaches are beautiful but unles you go to Turtle Beach or Tanmarid, there is no real shore snorkeling. Bridgeton is VERY busy but shops are nice and prioces are not bad either. Again, beautiful island!
Don't Miss: See all that you can. Malibu Rum Factory, Caves, Old working sugar wind mill.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Beautiful. People were freindly. Go to Oyster Bay where St Matrin and Saint Marteen meet. Bushy's Bar rents chairs, unbrellas and cold Carib's for $2.00.

Scarborough, Tobago

What a terrible place. Smelled like a toilet! Totally not what we expected!
Don't Miss: Nothing that we saw. Did not miss a thing that we were aware of.

Pros: Seemed to be plenty of comfortable pool chairs and many spa servcies were free

Cons: Most everything else!
