When boarding the ship explore and get your bearings of where everything is located because the Oceanview restaurant is packed with people eating & waiting for their staterooms to be available for them to occupy.

That they are paying for a 7 night cruise, but only enjoying a fast 5 day experience. 1st day was from 2pm - on, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, Weds were full days - Thursday being stuck on a ship that closed down and had no available activities, most staff off like our room steward for part of the day and other personnel on the ship. The Casino was shut down and no shows. One movie was available, but you wanted our luggage early because of a late arrival in Canada. I would advise them to know that they were going to have to pay for a days worth of tips that no one really deserved.

If you're going to go all out in the Penthouse suite, please make it know to the concierge that you paid a big chunk of money and expect impecable service. They can easily take you for granted. Now, this doesn't mean you should act like a snob. BUT just make sure they know your standards and set them high.

If you are going to Alaska, bring clothes to dress in layers. Never know what weather conditions will be.

Bring some shorts and cool cloths to wear while on the ship but make sure you bring your rain gear and warm cloths while going into port in Alaska.

Most all entertainment and movies were on the 4th floor, which caused a long wait at the elevators. Be sure you wear your walking shoes on board ship as you will walk quite a bit to get to events.

If on a long trip (mine was 2 weeks) be prepared to either pay per item to have your laundry done, or take a clothes line to hang on your balcony, pegs, take washing powder/liquid and use your bathroom sink
