The sushi on the 5 was good. I really expected food to.be something special as i had heard the food was better then rc or princess. I would say from my experience it was not. Also i did not get to experience all the specialty restaurants on board due to the fact of muran being so bad. Presentation was nice but the flavor wasnt there by any means .
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Have been on many cruises and this was a very organized entrance.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Main dining rooms were good . Portions were quite small . Buffets were redundant and basically had the same type of food. Could use rice on every meal in buffet in hawaii it is what were accustomed to .
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Some were good . Defintiley needed more interactive fun things . It seems the days we were in ports the crew basically took off. We found ourselves on a ship with nothing to do. That was very dissapointing as it was my wifes first cruise .
Entertainment
2 out of 5
Entertainment other then the ships dance shows was the worst i have ever seen on a cruise ship . It was lacking in all areas accept the 2 production shows which were great . Comedian was ok and the rest werent worth watching . The magician card tricks were good but that was just to long for just card tricks .
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
For the most part everyone was really good. Wish guest relations would smile more . Norman was great there though . Number 10 was good . Ronnie.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Everywhere was well maintained
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
It was perfect for what we wanted . My wife was afraid for balcony but is ready for.next time . Donald was great .
Ship tip
Its a slow paced ship and seemed to be a very old crowd .
I absolutely agree that Sushi on 5 is a great choice. You pay for what you order rather than flat fee and food is freshly prepared. We did not eat at Murano because the menu did not appeal to us. Instead ate at Tuscan Grill, which was great. One tip that we heard about portion size in MDR is to ask for more or even have two different main courses. We didn’t do that, but I had a shrimp cocktail every night along with another appetizer if so inclined. Thanks for the helpful review!
