Review summary

Wonderful cruise on a beatiful ship with a great staff and good food. All in all we couldn't have been happier with this cruise. We love Sea Days so no complaints there either. There was always plenty to do so we were never bored!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Very long lines to embark, even in the Elite area. It seems that everyone is now Elite Status or everyone just goes into whatever line seems shortest at the time. Celebrity should consider having someone monitor those entering the Elite embarkation area. The staff at the counter, when we finally got there, was excellent!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We decided not to eat in any of the specialty restaurants on this trip. Apparently many others felt the same as there were staff constantly walking around advertising the specialty restaurants. We usually ate breakfast and lunch in the buffet area and found it to be very good. It was fairly easy to find a table for 4 and the table service was good. The buffet was actually quite good and the staff was very friendly and congenial. We opted for the "Early Seating" which was always at 6:00 or 6:30 in the past. Unfortunately on this sailing they had changed the early seating to 5:30pm, a royal pain in the neck. Too early. Had we known that they were going to change the time we would have taken the "Late Seating" at 8:30pm. We almost always had dinner in the main dining room and we found the food to be excellent. The staff was a little slow and seemed like they were trying to rush us through dinner. But overall, we were very happy with the food and drink. The Elite lounge was always in the Sky Lounge from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The service and drinks were great. However, with a 5:30 seating for dinner, we felt rushed and were almost always a little late for dinner. And, there was no way to get back there by 7:00pm after dinner.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not much to say about this.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Generally the entertainment was pretty good. Only one or two of the performers stood out as being great. The productions shows were OK but a little stale.

Children's Programs

No children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Overall we found the staff on this cruise to be awesome. Our room steward was great, our regular server in the Elite Lounge was awesome and had our regular drinks by our seats when we came in at 5:00pm, and our waiter and his assistant in the MDR were great.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Great, beautiful ship, very clean and easy to get around in. This is the first time on a Celebrity ship that we felt crowded. The ship was full and the crowds showed it.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We almost always opt for a balcony cabin but this was a last minute booking so that we could be with some friends. Our cabin was clean, bright, and everything worked like it was suppose to. We were very happy with this cabin and have already booked an oceanview cabin for our next Celebrity cruise!

Ship tip

Have patience with the other guests. Some were a little pushy and almost rude but when you have that many people together you might as well expect that.

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

4 out of 5
We arrived in Vancouver BC two days before the cruise and really enjoyed the city. Not an inexpensive place to be but not crazy expensive like Hawaii.

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

4 out of 5

Hilo, Hawaii

4 out of 5

Lahaina, Maui

4 out of 5

Honolulu, Oahu

4 out of 5
We spent a couple of days in Honolulu after the cruise and enjoyed it. After having been in the Caribbean many times, all of the Hawaiian Islands just looked like the Caribbean islands.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation went very smoothly and we were out on the dock in record time.
