Educate cruise agents about wheelchair access and scooters on the ship. I have walking challenges and tried several times before the trip to find out if I could rent a scooter and no one I asked knew the answer. They all suggested I check when I boarded the ship, but I learned that you have to rent your scooter a month in advance.

Prepare for a sweet journey on this majestic vessel. We realized during our debarkation while patiently standing in line for customs in Ft. Lauderdale that we could have avoided the 35-40 min wait completely by staying on ship for a few hours instead (or until asked to leave ship). Lines are never fun and this is a huge tip we wish someone would have told us ... possibly our Concierge!?!

Don’t eat before 7pm as we found it to be too busy. Download your own films before you travel as there is a $15 charge for stateroom films ( around 10 old films are free) that play through your TV and we felt this was cheeky considering we paid for the upgrade to a suite.

Strike up conversation and be friendly with the staff. They’ll make your cruise exceptional! Also, don’t pick a Sunset Verandah unless you only wear black clothes.
