Review summary

Uneven. We travel a lot and Celebrity was probably our third favorite. It seems to us, Celebrity is trying to save money and they are charging for everything---water on shore excursions, tomato juice for breakfast. $50pp pn specialty restaurants is $25 to much

Food and Dining

This is really a mixed bag. The buffet was the best...and we are not big on buffets. Main dining was disappointing, Menu selection was not creative and limited. Looks like Celebrity is cutting corners. Food quality was a C-. Buffet as I said was good...except I hate fighting crowds. Speciality restaurants also a mixed bag. Tuscano very disappointing. My entree was overcooked but the wait was so long I didn't send it back. The restaurant was not that crowded. Muarano was better, but frankly not worth the $100 couple. Upstairs on deck 15 the opposite. Loved the Patio...selection, creativity and quality. Also like the grille very much...although we were on the only ones in the restaurant (last day, weather so, so.

Entertainment

Very uneven. First of all the stage shows: Talent was very good but unfortunately the material they were working with the not creative, now wow factor. Actors were fighting the material all through the show. Production values not what I expected and not up to what I have seen on other ships. Need to find a new production company...even sets/lights/ choreography boring. Best thing the actors/singers/dancers did was the Cabaret show where they could showcase their talent and not be burdened with poor material, The ship's orchestra was excellent. The solo/duo musical numbers were very good. Not so impressed with the comedians...but then, that may be me. Now to the single worse thing that needs correction: the sound mixing. Way too much reverb on everything in the theatre. I think the goal of the cound mixer is not to add, change or enhance the talent's singing. I sat there at every evening thinking this sound is horrible and other members of my party thought the same.

For the most part, pretty good. Excellent room staff. A little hit or miss on some of the others, but on the whole, was very good.

Cabin / Stateroom

Bed was great---loved the curved mattress...allowed more space to walk. Only thing negative was no comfortable place to sit..The couch was hard as a rock. Not comfortble

Ship tip

Don't spend $50/pp on speciality dining. Don't get the drink package---convenient but too $$.
