excellent start to agreat week on one of the best ships we have been on after cruising for 20 years . everthing was great. food service rooms staff. with so many lines to choose from. we made the right choice with celebrity .

The Celebrity Silhouette is a fantastic ship. We went on a 7 day cruise in Aqua Class. The accommodations were great we loved eating in the Aqua Class restraint, Blue. The food and choices were outstanding as was the service. We enjoyed the spa and the entertainment was top notch. We made it a point not to mis cocktails every night at the Martini Bar. The drinks were wonderful and the juggling by the bar tenders was fun to watch. The itinerary was an excellent balance with three ports of call and ample time at sea.

The ship was beautiful and well maintained. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our needs and the steward and waiter greeted us by name each day. On the downside, guest relations and shore excursion personnel were unable to answer questions from my wife, who is partially handicapped, concerning getting off at ports of call and the transportation availabe on the piers. Ocean cafe personnel were reluctant to assist elderly in carrying heavy food plates to their table.

We had a wonderful time. Food was good. Crew was excellent with the exception of 1 person. Excursions were fun. We went to swim with the stingray. We enjoyed the open dining. All our waiters and staff were very nice and always tried to make our meal experience a great one. They are helpful, work beyond excellence to show us a great time. Our butlers.. or guys that cleaned the room were very good. Don't know how they do it. There was one waitress one night on the pool deck that yelled at me. I did not fill out my room information. Cause I would not have shut up about her. I had a drink package.. ordered a virgin coolata... Then came back 10 or 15 miniutes later to get a drink with alcohol and she yellled at me like I was some kind of teenager that was trying to steal. WTF.. I did purchase a drink package. I could see if I ordered 2 adult drinks. If she thought I was abusing the package for a fruit drink.. you should fire that witch.

We were disappointed. We have cruised many times. This was our first cruise on Celebrity. The ship was not pretty. The entertainment was below average. There were not enough activities on the ship, especially on days that the ship was docked. Also, there were not enough places to relax without loud noise, even the library was open to the atrium. Thank goodness we had a balcony stateroom and we could retreat there at times. The food and service were very good. Many other passengers told us not to let this cruise tarnish our image of Celebrity, that they had cruised with Celebrity on other occasions and that this was not what they had experienced on the other ships. So, there were quite a number of unhappy guests.

What I can say Its CELEBRITY and other cruises ...This cruise line its for people 40+ .They have excellent entertaiment but mostly for adults. Solstice class ships are very very very nice and modern and whats its very important provide stable ride in bad weather /we have 10 foot waves/ . In my opinion excellent set up of ship. We can strongly recommended this ship to anyone who looking great luxury vacation and not too much crowd /100% full but no waiting in any areas/

Travel agent did not follow through. Excellent food. Excellent staff--very polite and helpful. "Priority" disembarkation was a nightmare. It took almost two hours and a 1/4 mile walk.

cruising on the Silhouette was ok, decent table service - not outstanding as before on the Solstice and Equinox, rooms the same maybe a tad darker- red couches instead of beige, poor excuse for a bed pillow , my aching neck from sleeping on flat pillow/s , mattress topper not as plush and comfortable as Solstice/Equinox, - adequate but not as thick and luxurious, the so called blanket was thin, again not as thick and plush as the other Solstice class ships, the lawn was sparse, dying..possibly due to the extra walking on now that the glass blowing and open areas are gone (greed took over and turned the areas into pay $ for usage ) the stage shows were ok, again the circ de sol shows on the previous ships was much more spectacular .. I guess I expected the newer Silhouette would match or exceed my previous cruise experience ..it didnt

First things first, there is no better way to sail the caribbean (or anywhere for that matter) than on Celbrity. The Silhouette is brand spanking new and everything is pristine. It seems like there's not a single square inch of the ship that was not carefully or meticulously planned out. That being said, I can admit to a certain extent to being a "cruise snob" which is why I only sail Celebrity, but I do feel that they could have done without so many extra-fee services. The Lawn Club was not nearly as utilized on this cruise than it was on others (while it had been a highlight of other cruises for me) because most of it was roped off. Yes, literally roped off unless you had rented a private cabana for the day. We did that 1 day and it was beautiful, but that also happened to be the only day I ever used the lawn club. Plus an outdoor grill replaced the glass show which in my opinion was a complete waste. It was never crowded and barely used by guestes and took up an inordinate amount of space. Bad use of a beautiful area on the ship for an add-on charge that was never used. The other thing I would like to point out is that the Silhouette is almost identical to the other solstice class ships. Now that's not a bad thing because they are beautiful, but a few more new wrinkles would have been nice. I had already known the full floor plan before stepping on the ship I just didn't know it yet. Service is always top notch, food amazing, and the ports were great. Overall I will ail Celebrity again, I just hope they focus more on the "standard" services and amenities instead of utilizing every part of available real estate for extra fee services.

The food, amenities, entertainment and cleanliness were outstanding. We had coffee and fruit sent to our room each morning and was always on time. The non smoking rooms and balconies are great. The Silhouette is a new ship and it showed. We are looking forward to another cruise soon.

Now I am Relaxed, One week does it with Celebrity. One hundred percent Service, best food than you can Imagine, I purchased the Aqua Class, well worth it, Breakfast in Bed , Five star Dinning,eat anytime. Always great , New Ship ,!Entertainment,shopping, and they have it all down . I will do it again and again ! Ben and Maria

I loved everything about the ship and the cruise expect the excursions. We bought two excursions and one ended an hour early than scheduled and the second ran over two hours late and therefore had no free time of our own to go into port.

I think dropping people in a port that is so ugly and dirty and charging them to go to a nice spot isn't good. We walked all over town and didn't find one redeeming quality. I would have rather had another day at sea as it was a ver busy cruise. Other than that it was great? These rolling ball rating things are stupid a check in a box is easier. Thanks

The ship was spotless and the crew was always cleaning cleaning cleaning!!! The Tour director was very helpful and really did her utmost to accomodate my friend and I when needed. Brenda (from Quebec) really did so much for us and was very very good at her job. We watched as she spoke to other people and she is to be commended. Our cabin steward (1261) Adbel went out of his way to be of service to us and last but not least, our server \"Ernesto\" and his helper \"Melvin\" (table 274) were the best we have ever had on a cruise. We have been on 9 different cruises. We would so recommend Celebrity to all our friends.

Beautiful ship in excellent condition

With only one day at sea on our cruise, we spent less time on the ship than usual. The cruise director, Lisa, was the best we have seen, and quite talented as well. The staff was very friendly and most accommodating. It was easy to find your way around the ship, and the library was one of the most extensive we have experienced. We would definitely recommend this ship and its captain.
