Embarkation

5 out of 5
Being a Celebrity Select member, I was immediately put in a short line for check-in, and my companions were allowed in the same line. Short and sweet!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We usually had lunch in the buffet, and since the ship was sold out, it was almost always crowded. When you finally found a table and got your food, it was quite tasty. People need to vacate their table when they're done eating, and not sit and look at their phones, tablets, etc. The other passengers need someplace to sit down and eat. We usually had our dinner in the main dining room. The waitstaff was very well trained and helpful, and the food was excellent.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
My husband used the fitness facility every day, and he said it was well-equipped and not overcrowded. I enjoyed the Solarium pool, since it was "Adults Only" and peaceful and quiet. We attended daytime lectures and also several movies in the Silhouette's theater. We also played general Trivia and Music Trivia. The ship offers as much as you want to do; it's up to you! The evening entertainment was exceptionally good most nights.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We saw very good to excellent performances most evenings.

Children's Programs

Didn't bring any children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff, room stewards and wait personnel in the restaurants, were friendly and well-trained.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Celebrity Silhouette is a beautiful ship. We were surprised to read that is going through an updating process in January 2020. I'm sure it will be spectacular when finished, as it's already lovely and very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The size of the cabin and storage space was typical for a nice ship. The bathroom was a little larger than normal and had an enormous amount of storage space. Our only problem with the cabin is that it was only 3 cabins from the aft of the ship. The Celebrity booking staff chose our location, and we would not choose that far aft ourselves, especially when doing a Transatlantic cruise.

Ship tip

If you like quiet areas, check out the Hideaway and the Solarium pool.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

We live in Florida.

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

We've been there several times before.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
Bermuda is a lovely island, and our tour was excellent. We did an island overview, in a small 7-passenger SUV. The guide was a lifelong Bermuda native, and you can tell that he's proud of his home.

Lisbon, Portugal

4 out of 5
We visited the ancient city of Obidos, Portugal. It was a quaint little village with historical buildings and churches, plus cute little shops. I think I would take a Lisbon overview tour next time.

Southampton (London), England

5 out of 5
We visited Stonehenge with the airport dropoff at the end of the tour. This tour also drove us through the lovely English countryside, which was even more interesting than Stonehenge. Maybe that was because the weather was awful during the Stonehenge visit, so we hurried a bit!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
It's always a bit unorganized at the end of a cruise, but the Silhouette did a good job of getting us off quickly.
