It was an expensive cruise for us and didn't feel it was as good as our experience on the Reflection the year before. It didn't help that some kind of Respiratory Flu virus got on the ship mid to late cruise and I caught it, so last couple days on the cruise, I stayed in my cabin most the day. I like the longer cruises and 12 days is about perfect but that many islands in a row was exhausting. We didn't do many excursions or it would of been more exhausting. I wouldn't ever do an itinerary like that again with 7 islands in 7 days. I like sea days best anyway. Not sure next year will be on Celebrity. It was an okay cruise, but for the price, I expected a little more. Dining room food wasn't that good. Some staff is excellent, but some not. Biggest area that needs an attitude adjustment was the Coffee shop. Lattes should be hot, not lukewarm. When complained, I got attitude.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining

most meals were tasty in dining room, some nights lacked. I was very impressed with buffet. One of the best buffets I've seen on any ship
Onboard Activities

didn't get involved in activities much this cruise, but seemed sparse compared to past cruises. Night life was active however
Entertainment

Almost every show was great. Least favorite, juggler. Most favorite was the young guest couple, Raegar. They were amazing! Best show ever on a cruise ship
Service and Staff

Our dining room waiters were excellent! Eager to please. Only negative, sometimes dinner felt rushed. Buffet area very good. Bartenders were mostly good. A few, mostly ones at the Ice Bar were not the friendliest. Biggest complaint was the staff at the Barista Cafe. Often rude, lattes not hot and service slow. Room steward, Martin was a nice young man but forgetful. Often missing towels and washcloths. Also, my opinion is that it would be nice if they cleaned veranda a couple times. Table got sticky and glass salty. I noticed while in port, a German ship near us and room stewards cleaning the verandas. Also, as always, why no more towel animals? Another fun part of cruising taken away. For the price of a Celebrity cruise compared to other lines, I would expect things to be more a cut above the others. If I want the economy service, I'd go Carnival
Ship Quality

Layout stinks, mostly because of the blocked views on the Pomenade deck by the life boats. We love walking that deck at night which isn't good because so few views of the water. Most ships manage to store life boats up so not block the view. Dining room is beautiful. Hate the elevators announcing to stay away from the door everytime. Not necessary.
Cabin / Stateroom

Yes, we had an obstructed view. Bummer, but we booked late and hadn't much left to choose from, but the room itself was a good size, laid out well, with lots of storage areas.
Ship tip
Not the best Celebrity ship out there. Sister ship to Reflection, but Reflection was better all around. But if something isn't right, speak up because they will do there best to make it better.
Didn't do an excursion this time. Usually like to go to the beach by the airport but told not much to see there now because no large planes land or take off from there.
Just shopped at the straw market by the ship but touched by the sweet people of that island. With all they have been through, their faith and goodness was evident. Appreciated that they were not pushy when trying to sell their items. If you said no, they just said ok, thank you, have a good day. Refreshing!
Again, just shopped, but was pleasantly surprised at how much shopping was there and the reasonable prices. Went a little ways into town for some thing we needed and felt safe and welcome there.
I was ill leaving the ship and appreciate the help of staff getting me off the ship. Needed assistance with a wheelchair. Although had to wait a long while for someone to assist us, I am grateful for the help. I would of struggled trying to walk that far.
