Beautiful ship, great food, warm and welcoming crew.
Embarkation

We arrived about an hour after the "rush". Embarkation was EASY. We walked up with no wait.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Blu was incredible and worth the Aqua Class upgrade.
Tuscan Grille, QSine and Sushi on Five were all outstanding - food & service.
Murano had the best food!! However, service was lackluster. Servers are not engaging, do not help each other out and are not skilled in serving in a fine dining establishment. The Maitre d/Manager did not make the rounds or assist as he had in the other restaurants.
Lawn Club is great for burgers at lunch.
The Buffet is the buffet - hit or miss on items. The ones that were good, were very good, the ones that were not...
Drink selections were good everywhere.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Trivia, wine tastings for a fee, pool games and art auctions every day. No dance classes in the Grand Foyer. Excellent library. Enjoyed the navigation seminar!
Spa relaxation area is a great feature of Aqua Class but, the Persian Garden is underwhelming (and we are "spa people").
Fitness center had a variety of equipment and was not crowded (although I never used it during prime hours). Pilates class was not good.
LOVED the silent disco - a 1st for me!!!
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The "main shows" were EXCELLENT. The dancers/acrobats were INCREDIBLE. The vocal performers were excellent at times and at other times, underwhelming.
The live entertainment around the ship was not that good except for the string duo. The house band had a tough time sounding like a cohesive group and seemed more interested in "showing" off their own "skills" (which truly were lacking). This was the only "down" of the entire cruise. If not for the main theater shows, I would have given entertainment "okay".
Service and Staff

EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON THE SHIP WE ENCOUNTERED WAS OUTSTANDING!!! I don't know what they do on the Silhouette to train but, WOW.

Beautiful and CLEAN ship!!!
Cabin / Stateroom

We were concerned about being the 2nd from the front of the ship but, movement was minimal (even on "rougher" days). We were also concerned about being under the fitness center. However, this room only is under a small part of the group fitness room and we only heard noise 1 time in the early evening for a very brief period.
The challenge with all the balcony rooms on Silhouette is that they aren't laid out well. The closet is tough to get into and there is not a lot of extra space for shoes or dirty clothes. Yes, I tend to pack more than a lot of people and will have to pare down for the next trip so things are not so cluttered.
Ship tip
Buy a specialty dining package in advance. You do save money and the restaurants are quite good. The only downfall is you can't make a reservation in advance (which caused me a bit of anxiety before sailing). However, it turned out to be great as it meant I didn't have to "over plan" the trip and could go with the flow more.
Too much touristy stuff to walk through to get out of the port. The beach area in the old fishing village is just beach club after beach club. Nothing exciting.
Very easy to get around in Grand Cayman. Beautiful water. We rented a car and showed ourselves around. Getting out to the non-touristy areas that were empty was amazing.
HORRIBLE! The worst ever. Thankfully, this came after a great trip so, we made fun of it. Most of it had to do with Homeland Security/Customs staffing (only 2 people for most of the morning). However, Celebrity could have done more to space out the calling of the tags. Also, many people (that weren't carryin their own luggage off) just leaving when they wanted as there was no one checking to make sure you weren't leaving before your tag was called.
