Review summary

Our cruise was very good with the exception of the weather. We experienced dull, overcast days most of the crossing. That did not mean we did not enjoy the cruise. It would have been better if we had some sunny at-sea days but we made the most of a really relaxing cruise.

We were a bit disappointed in the food quality aboard the Silhouette this trip. One evening in the MDR they might have 3 great choices of entrees but the next 2 - 3 nights, the choices were somewhat mundane and ho-hum. The service in the MDR were great, as always and the bartender service in the Sky Lounge was beyond expectations.

Saying this, we are still looking forward to our next 2 cruises with Celebrity. One in September to Alaska and then again a trans-Atlantic, November 2018.

The cabin steward was good but it appeared that she needed a bit more experience. Occasionally forgetting soaps or shampoos, etc.

We rode the port shuttle to the end, expecting there to be duty-free shops. We were disappointed, since there were none. I would have expected the cruise staff to let everyone know about this but we were told nothing, only that the shuttle would take us to end of the port.
