Review summary

This is our 27th crossing and the 4th on Celebrity. This is the first Celebrity cruise that has been disappointing. Staffing has been reduced which was felt in the dining -- not the service in the restaurant as much as longer time requirements for the food to be prepared/delivered and a number of meals had to be returned as they were cold by the time they were served.

More importantly, and sadly, the quality of food served both in Blu and Oceanview (food court) has noticeably declined. One veal meal in Blu was flat uneatable. Selections this time were boring. Just sad. Haven't been on a cruise (non-crossing) recently so maybe the cut back and decline is just a cost savings undertaking on the repositioning cruises.

Nice cabin --- too much noise from upstairs in the spa until 1130 at night and as early as 430 in the morning.

Did you have a cabin on the 11th deck? I have read from other reviewers to always get a cabin with ONLY cabins above and below them. I was just wondering what deck you had? The Celebrity agent tried to "upgrade" me to the Resort Deck (12) and I had already read reviews of ruined vacations because of noise from being on that deck so I declined and told him Deck 10 is just fine with me!

i hope it was just on your cruise on the Silhouette being we are doing a b2b in Jan. We eat mainly buffet, first time on celebrity. we do not care for a 2 hr plus dining experience on any ship.
