Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
MDR- fabulous food! Always an option I loved. Perfect portion size! The final elegant night additionally had an amazing show by the waiters! After our Lobster tail or Beef Wellington, & Baked Alaska (among other options), a waitress sang for us, as good as the main theater... then there was a music/light show while servers paraded to the music...an exciting must see experience!!! Loved the Buffet--Great selections, lacking nothing! Very last day their lunch had 10 decorated tall layer cakes, all different and delicious .

Cabin / Stateroom

Beautiful balcony! Huge room, remodeled bathroom, drawers in bathroom, and bedroom, hangers, robes. Light on mirror, vanity chair.

Ship tip

Use Third Party parking so a shuttle returns you to your car in event the ship docks at a different location than it embarked from. Especially common problem in Ft Lauderdale Everglades port!

Ports of call

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

It may feel a bit unsafe walking alone off port. But there is huge mini-town I guess owned by Celebrity, right outside the dock, many wonderful ships, restaurants, attractions, birds, a Lazy River , a huge pool w lifeguard, drink n food can b purchased. But pool and Lazy Rver are free, part of Celebrity ships private experience. We Loved the pool, warm, shade, huge, lifeguard, entertainers getting us to dance in the pool etc. Music all the time. Loved it.

Disembarkation

Waited in theater a short time til our number called, it was on time they told us, never came to a full stop til we were at the shuttle . We walked out as fast as you could. Our shuttle was right there, did not wait at all. I strongly advise parking off site (like in hotel parking lots) and shuttle in and out. The ships often dock at diff port than they embarked from. Therefore you are not near your car when you land. We used Q and S Parking, extremely fast n easy. $10/day to leave your car.
