Review summary

This was only our second cruise, so we are not that experienced. Overall we had a really nice vacation, but we were somewhat disappointed with the weather, which was less stable than in March last year. Lots of wind and clouds. if we were going some other time, we would not choose December.

Suite Class. Everything went smooth and fast

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We almost only ate in the Luminae restaurant which was as good as expected, but the burgers at the Mast Grill are always OK too.

Onboard Activities

We missed nothing

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The ship's own production shows were definitely not as good as were the guest artists. Even native americans, whom we spoke to couldn't find the idea, "the red thread" in them. We thought it was only us as foreigners with a slight lack of English understanding, that had difficulties. The LP and BR4 bands were excellent with skilled musicians and singers

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff is extremely kind and helpful. Our butler, Nemanja immediately got us sea sick pills as they became necessary and in the Luminae restaurant we would like to accentuate Zinoviia. What a girl! Not to forget the boys at the Martini Bar who put on a show every night. We really felt entertained and taken care of.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The cleanliness ist superb, but the ship is not new anymore which can be seen.

Cabin / Stateroom

There was absolutely nothing to complain about. The size was perfect to us and the bathroom had what it needed plus jacuzzi tub and special shower facilities.

Ship tip

The quality of the breakfast in the Luminae restaurant is most definitely higher than the one you get through room service. For instance the croissants are way better in the restaurant

Ports of call

Cartagena, Colombia

We had a very nice walk with an interesting local guide. There are loads of local vendors, but they are not agressive.

Oranjestad, Aruba

If you are interested in shopping exclusive jewelry etc. the town is OK. In any other way we find it has little to offer. When we were there last year we had bought a shore excursion.(a Kookookanuba tour) with a bus, which was extremely amusing, mostly because of the bus driver, Leslie who was in a vey special mood. We've seldom laughed that much before - and after.

Willemstad, Curacao

The town is so well maintained and cosy. We went on a shore excursion, "Sea and See," where we first sailed with a boat with a glass bottom on a reef. Really nice experience. Then we visited the local liquor factory which was waste of time. It was Sunday, so they did not work, and with only 15 minutes there, we spent more than the double time in transportation than on visiting the spot.

Kralendijk, Bonaire

Cosy little town

George Town, Grand Cayman

Went on a shore excursion to have a dolphin- and turtle encounter. Our bus driver, Simon was interesting and amusing, but the guide on the spot was stressed. It is no fun when you have to rush through things as we had with the turtles. It was better with the dolphins later on.

Cruise Class was no benefit here but I guess, that we cannot blame Celebrity for that. Our luggage was placed in front near the immigration counters, but we had to take it back with us to the end of the waiting line and then work us up. I guess, it took about two hours and a couple in front of us missed their flight out of Fort Lauderdale.
